But there’s a softer, calmer side to adventures as well. Through all the real-life love stories I’ve watched unfold, I’ve learned the most beautiful and authentic moments often happen in the quiet in-betweens. In the intimate peace hidden among the bursts of excitement. It’s a quick squeeze of your darling’s hand when you’re feeling unsteady. It’s a knowing glance shared across a crowded room. It’s the silent sharing of a starry night sky after a long day of exploration.
We’re gonna capture all of that as well.
From the biggest, brightest moments to the intentional in-betweens, my job is to capture every last beautiful, big, small, loud, quiet, incredible part of your adventure. Of your story. Of your love.
I was born for adventure and find a little bit of it in everyday life. I simply can’t wait to enter into yours.
And, like all the best adventures, yours is filled with incredible things—big discoveries, big celebrations, big moments, big feelings, and big love. We’re gonna capture all of it.

I want to create space for you to be unapologetically you—together. I want you to embrace your day—your adventure—for your sake. I want you to experience your moments however you prefer—without feeling the need to perform for anyone else.
I want you to burst with authenticity, not meet others' expectations. I want to prompt you to be yourselves rather than pose you to be someone else. I want you to enjoy the adventure rather than curate an image. I want you to live out your love however feels most real to you.
I believe in your love, your authenticity, and the moments in your journey that you wish to capture. That’s the goal.

To me, being adventurous doesn’t (necessarily) mean climbing mountains and swimming in wild streams (though I’m absolutely for that, if it’s your vibe!) Instead, being adventurous is a state of bliss. It’s exploring and discovering where you’re meant to be (and who you’re meant to be there with) … then allowing yourself to thrive in that space. It’s finding where you can be the most vulnerable and authentic version of yourself. I know where my soul belongs, and I hope to help create that same space for you.
At the same time, though, I love to bring the calm. Probably the feedback I hear the most is that I bring a peaceful presence to the chaos. A space to pause, to exhale, to feel immersed, to savor—to push aside the noise and reconnect with your lovely in that intimate in-between I mentioned above.

Recently on
"Jessica is an incredible Asheville wedding photographer."
We chose her based on the combination of her energy and her photos and we couldn't have been happier with our engagement and wedding photographs. The main thing that we wanted was to have pictures from our day of our people and the memories of community.
Somehow she managed to capture so many special moments for us- my niece and nephew walking into our ceremony with my grandmother's joy in the background, couples holding hands during our speeches, friends embracing during cocktail hour, signing our marriage license in the dark, flowers blossoming at our venue. It felt like we had multiple photographers when we got the photos back and we were so grateful for everything she captured!
We also weren't initially sure about engagement photos, but we loved them. She encouraged us to do something that felt like 'us' and we find that many of these photos are ones we now have up in our house because we're doing what we love together in comfy clothes. And, it was a way for us to get to know Jessica before the wedding, which made the wedding pictures even easier!

Working with Jessica Marie was a truly wonderful experience.
From the moment we met, it felt like we’d known her forever. We had planned an engagement shoot in downtown Asheville, but when it started pouring rain, Jessica Marie smoothly pivoted and took us to the Biltmore Conservatory. Since we’d never had our photo taken professionally before, we were a little nervous, but she immediately made us feel comfortable, authentic, and at ease.
In addition to our engagement shoot, she also photographed our rehearsal dinner and wedding. Her documentary style of photography resulted in photos that were candid, joyful, and artistic. We could not be happier with the photos, the editing, and the entire process. I have no idea how she was able to photograph from so many different angles and capture such detail.
Not only is she an amazing photographer, but she’s also a great person—caring, fun, and silly. We consider Jessica Marie a friend and absolutely recommend her to anyone who wants special, memorable, and unique photos. We’ll truly be enjoying these photos for years to come!

My (now) husband and I had our engagement photoshoot with Jessica and truly could not have had a better experience. It’s truly an art to be able to provide a space that’s so safe and comfortable and that’s what Jessica’s superpower is. Her superpower ALSO includes being an incredibly gifted photographer!!!!
We hiked up a mountain in the wee hours of the morning for a sunrise photoshoot and we just giggled and chatted our whole way there. I performed on stage my whole life so it’s typical for me to do a photoshoot and think “wow, what a performative photoshoot”. But this time, I look back at these photos and see my full, real self and how much fun we had. It was a session full of play, laughter, nature, and fantastic photography skills.
